Lessons, Course Structure
This course gives you a detailed understanding of the Cisco® Nexus switch platform and teach you how to install, configure, and manage Cisco Nexus® 9000 switch platforms in a scalable, highly available environment. You will learn switching, routing, management, security and programmability of Nexus9K switches.
Course also covers EVPN deployment and the underlying VXLAN protocol on Nexus 9K using Cisco® NX-OS. in detail
Nexus Dashboard Fabric Automation/Controller (NDFA/NDFC) formerly known Data Centre Network Manager (DCNM) is integrated as an application of Nexus Dashboard (ND). In this class, students will configure a basic overlay network and configure policy management in NDFA/NDFC. Each student has his/her own fabric and management system.
Objectives:
After completing this workshop the student should be able to:
- Deploy Cisco Nexus® 9000 switches using NXOS
- Deploy an VXLAN/EVPN-based LAN Fabric using NDFA
- Configure additional fabric functionality supported by NDFA (e.g. external networks, service integration)
- Perform Day-2 operations of network elements using NDFA
