Overview

Cisco ACI and Nexus Dashboard Insights Power Workshop will explore Cisco’s datacentre networking solution that includes ACI, Nexus Dashboard (ND) and Nexus Dashboard Insights (NDI) products.

The workshop highlights the value of integrating the ACI data center switching solution with NDI analytics to deliver enhanced visibility, insights, and operational efficiency. ACI provides an advanced SDN solution with a policy driven architecture on advanced Nexus 9K switching platform. NDI provides valuable insights into network status, health and operations based on telemetry feeds streamed from ACI.

This is a technical course with a deployment, configuration and operations focus.

Objective

At the completion of the class students will be able to in

• ACI
  • Understand architecture and functionality of Overlay/Underlay networks
  • Identify the ACI components and deployment options
  • Explore GUI and CLI in a common deployment environment
  • Examine the Underlay Access policies and how they relate to a typical deployment
  • Configure Tenant Policies to provide secure East/West connectivity
  • Configure Layer 2 connectivity to existing infrastructure
  • Appendix – optional module
    • Configure L3 connectivity to environments outside ACI

• Nexus Dashboard (ND)
  • Identify day2 operational needs of owning an ACI environment and how Nexus Dashboard provides a set of tools to address these needs
  • Identify the ND platform options
  • Utilise common GUI options for management and control of the platform
  • Interact with GUI features including explore and filter capabilities
  • Identify the purpose of key visibility and control tools
    • Anomalies, Advisories and Notification
    • Flow Telemetry
    • Bug Scan
    • Delta Analysis
